PSE law

The abbreviation PSE, it stands for the English name Product Safety Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law, refers to a standard in Japan safety standard for electrical installations. The Japanese name is电 気 用品 安全 法, Denki Yohin Anzenhou. The standard is published by the '' Japan Electrical Testing Laboratories (JET ). Any electronic devices which are brought into Japan in the trade must meet the requirements laid down therein and carry the PSE icon.

The standard defines, for example in any form electrical installations, electrical equipment such as power supplies, or electrical fuses are designed to. The current version of the standard comes from the 2nd April 2001.

The PSE is the broadest published in Germany by the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE ) standards series DIN VDE 0100 comparable.
