Pseudohalogen
Pseudohalogens are a special case of pseudo-elements. The pseudohalogens you count among other groups:
The chemical properties of these pseudo- halogens are similar in many areas where the halogens:
- Analogously to the elemental halogens exist mostly dimers of the pseudohalogens, for example, cyanogen (NC -CN).
- There are pseudo- hydrogen halide acids of the type HX ( with X as pseudo-halide ): HCN ( hydrogen cyanide )
- HNCO ( isocyanic acid )
- HCNO ( bang acid)
- HNCS ( isothiocyanic )
- HN3 ( hydrazoic acid )
