Pterygomandibular raphe

The raphe pterygomandibularis ( raphe of Greek ραφή seam ) is a tendinous strip, which the Musculi constrictores pharynx connects the buccinator muscle and each other. It is located in humans between the hook extension of the sphenoid bone ( pterygoid hamulus of the sphenoid ) and the mylohyoid line of the mandible ( mandible ).
