Ptitim
Ptitim ( פתיתים ), and Israeli couscous, is an Israeli, slightly roasted, rice or spherical type of pasta.
History
The food company Osem ( אסם ) claims to have invented Ptitim in the 1950s., But similar foods existed before in North Africa as Berkukes and Lebanon as Moghrabieh or Maftoul. Ptitim as couscous and pasta made from wheat, but hot dried, which gives it a slightly nutty flavor.
