Ptolemy IX Lathyros

Ptolemy IX. Soter II ( nicknamed Lathyros, chickpea ) of the dynasty of the Ptolemies was three times pharaoh (king) of Egypt from 116 BC to 110 BC, from 109 BC to 107 BC and 88 BC until his death in 81 or 80 BC In the times in between ruled his brother Ptolemy X Alexander. His son Ptolemy ruled Cyprus until he was deposed in 58 BC by the Romans.
