Public and National Library of Greenland

The Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia (Danish: Det Grønlandske Landsbibliotek, English Public and National Library of Greenland ) is the public library for the Greenland capital Nuuk and the Central Library of Greenland. Their structure included 2010, approximately 68,500 materials. A sub- section of the library is Groenlandica, the National Library of Greenland.

Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia was founded in 1956 as " National Library " in Nuuk. 1968 burned down the original building to the victim. In 1976, the library was reopened in a new building. Since 1980, the facility acts as the Greenland National Library. Your Groenlandica collection was to the new campus Ilimmarfik outsourced the University of Greenland in 2008.
