Public journal

As the Official Journal are referred to an official handout for official notices which relate to the general public and serve to publicly disclose a fact. In part, the notices also apply to the internal service operation. As an Official Journal Gazette is called, which reflects only the text of the legislation passed. Occasionally Official Journal are therefore complemented by service sheets addressing specific subject areas such as construction, school or health.

Official gazettes may be issued in the municipality or in the state of internally -house print and be free. In other cases, they must be subscribed to as paper. It happens that by outsourcing a product which is partly the official services itself must relate expensive. Today gazettes are sometimes viewed online, some have only the so-called Intranet of the issuing authority. Business people need this kind of publications, to see certain municipal contracts can or will be made ​​aware, individuals may need the vacancies for the Civil Service, which are always set correctly there. Also other publications (eg, budgets and financial statements, development plans, amendments, invitations and reports of committee meetings, etc.) are usually published in the official gazettes. Gazettes are available at each library administration by non- employees there.

History

In Prussia since 1811 gave each government for each administrative district week an official journal out (regulations, Promotions, Auctions, Profiles, bankruptcies, appointments of officials, religious ceremonies, dedications, etc.). The Schleswig -Holstein ads will appear under this title since 1750 and should therefore be one of the older leaves office in Germany.
