Publius Valerius Laevinus

Publius Valerius Laevinus was consul together with Tiberius Coruncanius 280 BC

He was the commander of the Roman forces in the Battle of Heraclea, which was lost to Pyrrhus of Epirus. He prevented the loss of Capua, Neapolis and Rhegium. The tradition of the battle is considered to be strongly distorted.
