Pucking
Pucking is a market town with 3802 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the central Upper Austria. It belongs to the administrative district of Linz-Land, the competent court is the district court district Traun.

Geography
Pucking is located on 286 m above sea level. A.. Expansion is 6.7 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.6 km. The total area is 19.8 km ². 19.2 % of the area is forested, 61.6 % of the area is used for agriculture. Pucking bordered to the north Horsching and Traun, to the east by Ansfelden, on the south by Neuhofen an der Krems and to the west by White an der Traun and Allhaming.

History
The story of Pucking can be traced back to Roman times: Even then ran through today's local area roads. The parish Pucking finds its first mention 1289th During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times. Since 1918, the town belongs to the province of Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria. 2004 Pucking was raised to the market town.
Incorporations
1784, the village Sammersdorf of white churches was incorporated at the Traun to Pucking. In return, you entered the village of White Mountain, together with the associated castle, from Neuhofen an der Krems.

Population Development
In 1991 the municipality had 2,613 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 3478 inhabitants. 2008, approximately 3,800 people live in Pucking.
Culture and sights
One attraction is the 600-year -old pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard (built in 1405); they located in Sipbachtal and is accessible via an approximately 2 km long pilgrimage trail along a common road from the village.

In the village Hasenufer is the power station Traun Pucking. This hydroelectric power plant is the most powerful of this type of Energie AG Upper Austria.
Sports
A local recreation area represents the puck Inger lake, which is located east of the center. Near the puck Inger lake is also a football pitch and a beach volleyball court.

Education
In Pucking is an elementary school that was rebuilt in 1972 and in 2004 was connected by an underground walkway to the community center "spectrum", so that access to the gym, nursery, school kitchen and library exists. As a precursor to education are located in the district two community- owned kindergartens.
Traffic
Pucking lies between two motorways, the A1 highway in the middle of the market area and the Welser motorway A25 to the north of the market area, but has no highway access. In the local area there is no station, however public transport is guaranteed by private and public bus companies. An important road link is the running from west to east L563, which connects the places Sammersdorf, Pucking and Hasenufer. The villages Sankt Leonhard, Sipbach, Zeitlham and Köttsdorf are in Sipbachtal and are accessible via local roads and freight routes.

Rescue
The municipality has commissioned the Austrian Red Cross to conduct the rescue service in Pucking. The next points are the local places Traun and Neuhofen. For emergencies, a defibrillator was purchased which is kept in the firehouse Pucking behind the entrance door.
