Pudendal canal
The pudendal canal (from the Latin canalis "tube", "channel"; pudendal " belonging to shame " ), also called Alcock's canal is a passageway for line structures in the vicinity of the pelvic floor.
The pudendal canal is enclosed by a Faszienduplikatur ( doubling of the fascia ) of the obturator internus muscle, the obturator fascia and thereby limited the side ( lateral) of this. In the middle ( medial), the fatty tissue of the ischio-anal fossa hugs him.
The channel performs a nerve and two vessels:
- Pudendal nerve (nervus dorsalis penis / clitoris dorsal nerve )
- Internal pudendal artery
- Vena pudenda interna
