Pueai Noi District
Amphoe Pueai Noi ( Thai: อำเภอ เปือยน้อย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Khon Kaen. The Khon Kaen Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Nong Song Hong and the Ban Phai in the province of Khon Kaen, Amphoe Kut and the rank and Na Chueak the province of Maha Sarakham.
History
Phueai Noi was born on January 17, 1977 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the two Tambon Wang Muang Phueai Noi and were separated from Amphoe Ban Phai. On July 4, 1994, he was then promoted to Amphoe.
Attractions
- Prasat Pueay Noi ( Thai: ปราสาท เปือยน้อย ) - well maintained property of the Khmer Empire, is located about 78 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Khon Kaen: three buildings made of brick on a common laterite foundation with differently shaped lintels of sandstone. The ensemble is surrounded by a moat.
Administrative units
Amphoe Pueai Noi ( tambon) divided into four municipalities, which in turn in 31 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Pueai Noi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เปือยน้อย ), consisting of parts of the tambon Phueai Noi and Sa Kaeo,
- Sa Kaeo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สระแก้ว ), also consisting of parts of the tambon Phueai Noi and Sa Kaeo.
There are also two administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
