Pueblos jóvenes

The term Pueblos & Youth is the Spanish plural for young villages (singular Pueblo joven ). It is a term used in Peru term for shanty towns that have arisen from an invasion or illegal land acquisition seat.

So it is at least in the initial phase of informal settlements, but already have a partial or complete infrastructure, such as running water and electricity. The Pueblos Jovenes caused by the large waves of migration from the surrounding rural areas or from across the country. The latter is the case in the Peruvian capital of Lima. The migration took them through the activities of various Terrorguppen (especially Sendero Luminoso and MRTA ) since its beginning in 1980 strongly.
