Puff Johnson

Puff Johnson ( born December 10, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan as Ewanya Johnson, † June 24, 2013 ) was an American Soul and RNB singer-songwriter.

Life and work

Puff Johnson sang the background voice on Tupac Shakur's hit single Me Against The World. In 1996, she released her debut single Forevermore who was number 31 on the charts in England and number 29 in the U.S.. A short time later, her debut album, Miracle, which made ​​it into the U.S. charts at number 61. Their second single All Over Your Face arrived in the U.S. at # 57

Her biggest hit they had with the song Over and Over, the title song of the film The First Wives Club. The song made ​​it to England and Holland at number 20 in Australia and number 29 in the charts. In 1997 she went on a European tour as opening act for Michael Jackson. End of the year her album reached the Top 40 of the Dutch charts.
