Pukaskwa River

The Pukaskwa River is a tributary of Lake Superior in Ontario, Canada.

The Pukaskwa River has its source in Lake Gibson Lake. It flows in the headwaters of several smaller lakes in west southwest. To the south of Widgeon Lake turns to the river in the south, then west again. In predominantly south-westerly direction of the river flowing through the eastern edge of the area named after him Pukaskwa National Park and finally flows into Lake Superior. The Pukaswka River has a length of 56 km. The river has 57 rapids and is popular with whitewater kayakers. Ringham 's Gorge, a 3 km long white-water canyon, is the highlight of the river. Shortly before the mouth overcomes the Pukaskwa River, the 24 m high Schist Falls.
