Pulsa dinura

Pulsa diNura ( Aramaic: פולסא דנורא - fire whip ') is a magical ritual Jewish radicalism, in which God is asked to curse an alleged sinners.

The roots of the term probably derived from the treatise Hagiga 15a of the Babylonian Talmud. This section mentions sixty pulsai diNura to chastise the angel Metatron. A pulsation diNura is also in the Zohar ( section 3:263 c, Raja Mehemna ) mentioned, one of the classic works of Kabbalah. Here he is described as a heavenly punishment against a person who fails to comply with their religious obligations. The term does not appear in a small number of other places in the Talmud and Zohar, however, in the context of a mystical curse.

Some Jewish fundamentalists, who see themselves as Kabbalists developed this concept of tradition, the concept of invoking a curse against a sinner, which they called pulsa diNura.

More recently, there were two public perceived cases. Rabbi Yossi Dayan, a political extremist, threatened to curse the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, he should want to push through his plan of evacuation of the Gaza Strip.

In an interview with an Israeli TV station Dayan stated that he had the curse in 1995 applied against Jizhak Rabin just before he was assassinated by Yigal Amir.

On 26 July 2005, some opponents of the Gaza withdrawal plan, issued a press statement in which they claimed to have the curse Pulsa diNura pronounced. You could have asked the angel of death to kill Prime Minister Sharon. In the press and of the Israeli public this act was condemned vehemently.

The Israeli TV station Channel 10 reported that a Pulsa diNura against the incumbent Prime Minister Olmert was pronounced. From the scanty information it can be seen that the ritual has taken place this time just before new moon ( June 25, 2006 at 16:06 clock ) and was then made public on Sunday on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
