Pult

Panel ( Albanian: pulti; Latin Polatum; Serbian Cyrillic Пилот ) is a landscape in northern Albania. It comprises the north-eastern, mountainous part of the district of Shkodra.

Console builds south to the Malësia e Madhe and forms the southwestern part of the Albanian Alps. Main settlement area of ​​the landscape is the valley of the river Kir with the villages Prekal, Drisht, Pog, Bruçaj, Kir, plan and Xhan. The latter five constitute the Komuna desk; the municipal office is in Pog. At about the old bridge of Mes ( Alb. Ura e Mesit ) the area of panel passes into the precincts of the city of Shkodra.

History

Panel has been inhabited since ancient times and was Polatum as one of the Illyrian civitates ( tribal regions ) in the Province Praevalitana. In the 9th century, a diocese was founded, but which included a much larger area than the current so-called landscape with last 18 parishes. In the Middle Ages Polatum was used as the name of a far greater power district, which included also the westernmost lowland areas. Desk a long time was the Slav -dominated states Duklja and Zeta. From the mid-14th century to 1420, the area was under the rule of Balšić ( Alb. Balsha or Balshaj ) who had founded their own state rings around the Skadar Lake after the collapse of the Serbian Empire. Desk was already known in the Middle Ages as a purely Albanian settlement area, while in the nearby coastal towns lived primarily novels and Lake Skadar also many Slavs settled in the plains.
