Pumping station

A pumping station ( depending on the design and pumping station or lift called ) is a system of hydraulic engineering, which is used to pump water from a lower elevation waters in a higher ground.

Pumping stations are used in many areas of water used:

  • Operation of fountain in Castle Park (eg the still -working pump stations of Nymphenburg Palace in Munich)
  • Water level regulation of natural waters ( flood protection)
  • Artificial water bodies / channels

As a pump can be used as centrifugal pumps, screw pumps, pumps or pneumatic hoists.
