Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie ( Pumpkin Pie ) is a traditional dessert of U.S. cooking, which is particularly fond served at Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

From Kürbismus, egg and sweetened condensed milk or cream a pudding -like mass is produced, which is used as a filling of the pie. The mass is spiced with cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg and cardamom optional and has an intense flavor. Sometimes ready-made pumpkin pie spice used.

In a pie, tart or springform pan sheeted dough is given and filled with pumpkin mass. The dough is made from flour, salt, butter and water. The pie is baked in the oven for so long that the filling is just firm, but has not yet formed a crust. The cooled pie is usually served with sweetened whipped cream.
