Punt dal Gall Dam

The 130-meter high dam Punt dal Gall is located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. They dammed the waters of the Spoel from the Italian Livigno valley. The entire Lago di Livigno lies in Italy. The building was completed in 1968.

The water is fed from the dam to the power plant Ova Spin ( ⊙ 46.67822510.144544 ) at the Ofen Pass road in the Spölschlucht above Zernez, there is another reservoir, the Lai da Ova Spin, the connected as a balancing reservoir for several others, with cleats dams used.

Guided tours are available on request for groups. Operators are the Engadine power plants.
