Puppenpavillon Bensberg

The dolls Pavilion Bensberg is a stationary puppet theater in Bergisch Gladbach Bensberg district.

The dolls pavilion exists since 1988 and was founded by the puppeteer Heath Hamann. Hamann was for ten years with their own travel stage " lapis lazuli Puppet Theatre " on the road and had worked as an assistant to Rudolf Fischer of the Darmstadt puppet in several television productions of the ARD and ZDF children's program. In December 2008, Hamann retired.

Since January 2009, the actor, puppeteer and reciter Gerd J. Pohl passes the dolls pavilion. Pohl was previously director of the touring theater Piccolo puppet.

The theater is located on the grounds of Bergisch Gladbach Johannes Gutenberg secondary school and is housed in a former pavilion, where additional classrooms were set up during previous alumni boomers.

Each year the dolls pavilion is attended by around 9,000 spectators. It will be held ideas of Gerd J. Pohl itself as well as guest appearances from other renowned theaters and training sessions for educators and teachers here. The Schedule includes puppet shows for children and adults as well as readings, lectures, panel discussions, debates and concerts in small ensemble, under the title " Bensberger encounters ".

The emblem of the theater was created by Eduard Prüssen, who was the city of Bergisch Gladbach graphic artist at the time the theater was founded.

Support is the puppet pavilion by the members of the theater 's patrons.
