Taraskisch or Purepecha ( Phorhépecha ) is an isolated indigenous language of Central America. It is mainly used in Mexico in the state of Michoacán, and is spoken by about 136,000 Purepecha.
The dialectal differences are relatively large, especially the highland dialects have only 70% lexical accordance with the main dialect.
