Puri (food)

Puri is a fried flatbread from India. It is made from the same dough, such as chapatis.

For the preparation of chapati or whole wheat flour with water, ghee or oil and salt is made into a dough, rolled thin after suspension and fried in ghee or vegetable oil, making the cakes rise like a balloon. The soft and very nutritious Puris be served warm as a side dish. Upon cooling, or piercing the hot air escapes inside and Puri falls back in on itself.
