Push the Button ( German: Push the button ) was the first song that was from the fourth studio album by the Sugababes, Taller in More Ways, decoupled. It was released in September 2005. The song was written by the band members Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Heidi Range, together with the African American songwriter Dallas Austin. The song has strong electronic influences.

Success

Push the Button was a successful single from the Sugababes. In the UK, Austria and the song was a number -one hit, as in Ireland, and New Zealand. In Germany it reached second place, third place in Switzerland on October 16, 2005, Push the Button was simultaneously number one on the UK singles, downloads and airplay charts.

In August 2005, the song was played in Chris Moyles radio show on BBC Radio One for the first time, as one of two songs from the new album. Shortly thereafter, Iceland Records announced that Push the Button was selected to appear as the first single of the album. In September 2005, the Maxi - CD was released in the UK. The song was used in the soundtrack to the 2006 released romantic comedy It's a Boy / Girl Thing. It was used also in commercial coffee machines for Tassimo.

Video

In the music video for Push the Button, in which Matthew Rolston directed and which was produced by Lindsay Turnham exposure for film, dance the Sugababes in an elevator of a tall building, waiting for the three different men. On each of the floors, is on the one of the men, rising from one of the Sugababes and dances with the man.

The video was shot at various recording locations in the area of ​​Shepherd 's Bush in London in July 2005. The first broadcast took place in Britain in the week of 12 September 2005.
