Pushmataha County, Oklahoma

Pushmataha County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Antlers.

Geography

The County is located almost in the extreme southeast of Oklahoma and has an area of ​​3685 square kilometers, of which 66 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Latimer County, Le Flore County, McCurtain County, Choctaw County, Atoka County and Pittsburg County.

History

Pushmataha County was formed on 16 July 1907 as the original County of Choctaw country. It was named after the Pushmataha District in the territory of the Choctaw.
