Pustowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Pustowo ( German Wedderwill ) is a residential place at Mysłowice ( Moitzelfitz ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical location

The village is located about 35 kilometers south of Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) in Eastern Pomerania on a country road between Mysłowice ( Moitzelfitz ) in the north and Słowieńsko ( Schlenzig ) in the south.

History

The town was founded in the early 19th century as Vorwerk of the manor in Moitzelfitz, initially came before the High German place name repugnance. Around 1890, the Vorwerk was released from the manor Moitzelfitz and sold to the landowner of Schlenzig, H. Gottschalk. He and his heirs managed it until 1945 as one of Vorwerk Schlenzig.

Wedderwill belonged first to Gutsbezirk Moitzelfitz and came to the resolution, in time to the beginning of the First World War, the rural community Moitzelfitz. With Moitzelfitz it belonged until 1945 to the Kolberg- Körlin in the Prussian province of Pomerania.

After the Second World War came Wedderwill how completely Pomerania to Poland. The population was expelled and replaced by Poles. The Polish government gave the place the name Pustowo.
