Puy

Puy (from Latin podium " hill " ) is in its original meaning, the French name for the shape of a volcanic mountain peak in the Massif Central. These peaks are usually formed in the shape of a cone or dome.

Gradually, but has naturalized, some peaks that look similar, but not of volcanic origin, are also classified as Puy.
