Pyotr Popov

Pyotr Alexandrovich Popov (Russian Пётр Александрович Попов; born September 4, 1985 in Kandalakscha ) is a Russian natural track luge. Together with his doubles partner Alexander Yegorov, he became Vice World Champion 2007, won two bronze medals at the European Championships and in 2005 was European Junior Champion. Career

Pyotr Popov took from 2000 International junior championships. Earlier in his career he started in doubles, together with Mikhail Trufanow and also in the single-seater. In the Junior European Championship 2000 in Obergurgl Popov was 24 in single-seat and at the Junior European Championship 2001 in Tires 18 in the single-seater. In doubles, he finished with Trufanow the seventh and eighth place.
