Pyšel

Pyšel ( German Pischel ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 8 km north- west of Náměšť nad Oslavou in 468 m above sea level. Level and belongs to the Okres Třebíč. The area of ​​the municipality is 12.78 km ², in the west of the village lies the pond Pyšelský fishpond.

History

The village Pyšel located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands between the valleys of Oslava and Jihlava 1349 was first mentioned. 1788 was the construction of the St. Barbara's Church and rectory, a year later, the school took on teaching. The volunteer fire department was established in 1898.

In 1794 lived in Pyšel 275 people, the population increased by 1870 to 434 in 1890 had 425 inhabitants of the village.

Much older is Vaneč that is mentioned in 1101 in the writings of the monastery Třebíč.

Attractions

In addition to the baroque St. Barbara's Church in 1788, which has a 1750 created the altar in the interior, and the rectory is located on a wooded hill south of the village, the former chapel of the Virgin Mary.

The most striking building is the old festivals in the village center. The stone tower of the Lords of Tasov originated before 1300 and is the oldest building of Pyšel.
