Qardaha (Arabic القرداحة, DMG al - Qardaha, sometimes written Kardaha ) is a small town on the slopes of Alawitengebirges in the in the north- west Syria, Latakia Governorate. In the village live mainly Alawites.

Qardaha is located about 30 kilometers from Lattakia and is the hometown of longtime Syrian President Hafiz al - Assad, who was born in 1930 in a regionally respected family of farmers. Later Assad army officer and politician of the Baath Party. At his funeral on 13 June 2000, the city experienced an impressive state funeral at which many Arab presidents and Western foreign ministers participated. The mausoleum was built in 1994 and Assad's eldest son Basil was buried. Assad's cenotaph stands in the middle of the dome structure, that of his son on one side.

At the time of birth of Assad's place had about 1800 inhabitants, at the beginning of his presidency in 1971 there were 3357 inhabitants. In 2010, almost 18,000 inhabitants are estimated.

Qardaha may have with Al- Qardaha a successful football club.
