The University of Qatar (Arabic: جامعة قطر, Qatar Jami'at DMG ) is a state university in Doha, Qatar. It emerged from the earlier Pedagogical University. With about 73 % of the 8700 students in the winter semester 2010/11 the University had a remarkably high proportion of women.
