Qazax is a city in Azerbaijan. It is the capital of the district Qazax. In the city live about 20,500 inhabitants.

Culture and recreation

In the city, many buildings have survived from the 18th century, including the Juma Mosque and the Israfil Agha - baths, a traditional Turkish bathhouse. There are also two old churches in the city, but which are no longer used as such.

In the town are several parks as well as a cultural center and a museum.


Through the town the railway line from Ağstafa leads to Armenia. There are regular bus and train connections to Baku.
