Qisas Al-Anbiya

Qisas al - Anbiya ʾ (Arabic: قصص الأنبياء, Qisas al - Anbiya DMG ʾ, prophets narratives ' ) is a genus of books in Arabic, Persian and Turkish languages, where from an Islamic perspective stories about the pre-Islamic prophets are presented. The material is usually arranged in chronological order, so that, resulting from the creation of the world until the appearance of the Prophet Mohammed reaching, the image of a closed- Islamic past. As the oldest surviving work of the genre in Persian is considered that of Abu Ishaq Ibn Khalaf Neysāburi, which dates from the 11th century.
