Qpopper
Popper is a message store for the Post Office Protocol. Popper was developed at the University of California, Berkeley.
Popper works on many versions of Unix to z / OS and is, for example, combined with Sendmail, also as part of other products.
Qpopper is published by the Qualcomm development of Popper. It is based on common legwork. The compilation produces an executable file called popper.
Operation
If Popper is queried from a Mail User Agent, Popper initially stocked its own data memory with the received e- mails and then transfers them to the user agent.
Stages of development
Since 1994, Popper supports Kerberos.
In 1995, added support for MMDF.
Version 4.1 introduced support for IPv6.
