Quad City Flames

The Quad City Flames were home to a hockey team from the North American American Hockey League ( AHL), and in Moline, Illinois. The franchise was located from 2007 to 2009 in the region of the Quad Cities and previously played under the name Omaha Ak -Sar - Ben Knights in Omaha, Nebraska.

The team acted as a farm team of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. The togetherness of both teams could be seen also in the team logo, which consisted of the flaming " C" of the Calgary Flames and a flaming "Q " for the Quad City Flames.

History

The franchise of the Quad City Flames since 1993 belonged to the Calgary Flames and operated until 2003 as the Saint John Flames in the AHL, but the team then presented a game operation. In 2005, the franchise took back to his business and was named Omaha Ak -Sar - Ben Knights. But after two financially disappointing years, the Calgary Flames decided the team in the region of the Quad Cities Moline, Illinois to relocate and rename in Quad City Flames.
