Quadrangle
The word comes from the Late Latin Quadrangel quadr ( i) angulum, square ' and is used primarily as a term for a special type of pagination of early modern and modern records.

By Quadrangeln the individual documents of a file are numbered consecutively. In general, this number was attached to the left top of the page and framed by a square or a rhombus.
