Quarab

The Quarab Horse is a cross between the Arabian thoroughbred races and the American Paint Horse or Quarter Horse. Since the 1950s, this breed is mainly grown in America. There rancher discovered early on the benefits of this intersection. In Germany the breed is recognized since 1 June 2010 and is managed by the German association founded in 2004 Quarab Horse Association eV ( GQHA ).

Exterior

Quarabs combine the stamina relatedness to people who have stable legs and the pretty face of the Arabian horse with the athletic strong physique, the performance and additionally the special colors of the Quarter and Paint Horses with each other. The result is a pretty all-rounder for many different disciplines. Depending on the predisposition to convince both endurance rides, Western tournaments or in jumping and dressage competitions and of course as a reliable activity partners.

Interior

In the character of Quarabs many attributes of the breeds find it again. They may be extremely personable and sensitive like a thoroughbred Arab, but also very willing to work and strong nerves like a Quarter Horse or Paint. Of course, in the expression of these properties rearing plays an important role along with the assessment.

Breeding

The breeding goal is the pure breed, so the result from the mating of F1 generations or higher. The output breeds Quarter and Paint Horse and Arabian blood are allowed for decoration. From the optimal pairing of 50:50 to classic 1/8 to 7/8 method is grown. A proportion of at least 75% to 25 % is desirable. A steady improvement of the breed characteristics is desired on the part of GQHA through an evaluation and registration in the stud book of at least three year old horses.
