The coach does not mind, but first he must convince the Board of the School of it. The news about Tami Maida will quickly talk of the town and the family goes out to scorn and antipathy. The Executive Board also see it better if it were a cheerleader, football player instead. But there has to be a level playing field, according to a federal law for all girls and boys and a men's but is merely not a women football team, they are forced to let Tami participate in the trial. Taimi then takes part in the hard training of the " Grizzlies " and there is also skepticism and scorn the boys exposed. However, since it can fit incredibly well and the training is over, they will be recorded. It quickly Sensation gets around and the first reporters report on it. Just do not like her new classmates. She is harassed by the cheerleaders. Only their teammates stand by her classmates and Schott Massey showing interest in her.

The first home game of the season is bad for the Grizzlies and it seems a long time off after a defeat. Rather, out of desperation replaced a coach Ainsworth Tami. Their passports are so good that they turn the game around and won 7-6. Then Maida is invited by Scott to a date in the wilderness, but he ran with all his strength through different obstacles while panting follows him. She is angry that he keeps all this for a contest and thinks that she is a girl that like a girl like to be treated, even if she plays football and is athletic. She leaves him alone. On the following days, she feels increasingly ostracized at school and asks her mother for advice. This tells us that she once had a dream to become a singer and gave him because they expected her to marry and to have children. Therefore, she asks her daughter to her dream to hold. And so Tami playing. In the second game, it is not going well in spite of their use. She gets off a lot and makes it to the final just yet, with a pass to gain the decisive touchdown, so they win 10:7. Scott, however, is upset and wants to put the opposing players that did not concern Tami so hard to talk and is deposited itself. This in turn makes Tami pissed because she thinks that they can unsubscribe themselves their struggles and not like a girl wants to be treated. She realizes that she the one hand, as a girl, and on the other hand but do not want to be treated like a girl.

But that does not bother the sympathy of the two. Following third successful game Scott kisses her for the first time. The fourth game is also successful and those who previously rushed against Tami support them now. The support also does not stop after they lose the first away game of the season with 38:7. Tami is even nominated as homecoming queen. The media report on it and the team buys her a graduation gown. Tami is so touched that she wants to thank all with tears and kisses. In the final game of the season Tami is not loaded and it looks bad for the team. Only after their Substitutes shortly before the end she brings her team a yard in front of the end zone and then creates himself the touchdown. However, the subsequent victory celebration falls out shortly, so she can still dance with Scott at prom. To her surprise, she will also voted prom queen.
