The Football Princess is an American television drama from 1983. The film is based on a true story and was broadcast on December 3, 1983 for the first time on CBS. His German -speaking Original Air Date was on 24 January 1991 on RTL.
Action
Ralph Maida has just moved with his family from Prince George, Canada to Philomath, Oregon and asks the local football coach Ed Ainsworth therefore, that his daughter should join the football team. The coach does not mind, but first he must convince the Board of the School of it. The news about Tami Maida will quickly talk of the town and the family goes out to scorn and antipathy. The Executive Board also see it better if it were a cheerleader, football player instead. But there has to be a level playing field, according to a federal law for all girls and boys and a men's but is merely not a women football team, they are forced to let Tami participate in the trial. Taimi then takes part in the hard training of the " Grizzlies " and there is also skepticism and scorn the boys exposed. However, since it can fit incredibly well and the training is over, they will be recorded. It quickly Sensation gets around and the first reporters report on it. Just do not like her new classmates. She is harassed by the cheerleaders. Only their teammates stand by her classmates and Schott Massey showing interest in her.

Tami is even nominated as homecoming queen. The media report on it and the team buys her a graduation gown. Tami is so touched that she wants to thank all with tears and kisses. In the final game of the season Tami is not loaded and it looks bad for the team. Only after their Substitutes shortly before the end she brings her team a yard in front of the end zone and then creates himself the touchdown. However, the subsequent victory celebration falls out shortly, so she can still dance with Scott at prom. To her surprise, she will also voted prom queen. In tears, thanked and adopted it, as they will leave the school next year.
