Quarup

Quarupe is an ancient Indian martial art of the Xingu Indians, where faced two Indians of various tribes of the Dead festival ( = Quarupe ). The aim was to throw the opponent to the ground and touching the knee of the opponent at the same moment. The fight was evaluated using a special points system the other tribe members.

Quarupe had a certain influence on the Brazilian Capoeira movement.
