quattro GmbH

Quattro GmbH is a subsidiary of Audi AG, based in Neckarsulm, which is responsible for the processing of various Audi models.

Quattro GmbH as a 100 percent subsidiary of Audi AG was founded in 1983. Business purpose was initially the trade with quality accessories (focus on high quality leather series). After 1993 the business was expanded: The boutiques in the distribution centers were expanded and the vehicle individualisation was added. Since 1996, the quattro GmbH operates as an independent vehicle manufacturer (S and RS models ). The first project was an Audi S6 in March 1996. The quattro GmbH is the equivalent of the Volkswagen R GmbH.

The modifications of the quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm be executed. Thither the Audi models to be supplied from the works executed or done by the customer. With the Audi S6 Plus quattro GmbH recorded their first car specially processed in March 1996.

The company employs approximately 750 employees, which mainly come from Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. It recorded a pre-tax profit of 35 million and 2006 revenues of around 500 million euros in 2005.

The vehicle divisions are divided into the portion of the production of the RS- vehicles such as the Audi R8. Likewise, quattro GmbH is responsible for the accessories division called S line, which is a name for the athletic facilities of the various Audi models. Not responsible but S line is for the performance of the engine, but for the selection of the sports suspension or the car rims.
