Quebec Citadelles

The citadels de Québec ( Quebec English citadels ) was a Canadian ice hockey franchise in the American Hockey League in Quebec City (City), Québec. The venue of the citadels was the Colisee Pepsi.

History

The Fredericton Canadiens in 1999 to Quebec (City), Quebec, resettled, where they played as a farm team of the Montreal Canadiens under the name Quebec citadels in the American Hockey League. Equal in their first season were the citadels in the season 1999/2000 first in the Atlantic Division, but resigned in the first playoff round with 0-3 victories against the Providence Bruins. In the following season Quebec reached the second playoff round in which it failed with 1:4 victories at the Saint John Flames. This was the best result of the season for the team in its three years of existence. In their third and final AHL season reached the citadels 2001/02 playoffs, but dropped out in the first round with a sweep in the best- of-five series against the Hamilton Bulldogs from. After that season were the citadels Quebec to Hamilton, Ontario, resettled, where she served as Hamilton Bulldogs, as a common farm team of the Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens, competed after the Edmonton Hamilton Bulldogs wanted to relocate, but this was prevented by fan initiatives. Since 2003, Hamilton is the exclusive farm team of the Montreal Canadiens.
