The Cambridge Springs - variant is a variant of the opening rejected the Queen's Gambit chess game. In the ECO codes it is classified under the key D52.

The opening was played in 1904 at an international chess tournament in the U.S. city of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, multiple and thus known. However, Emanuel Lasker in 1892 had tried this opening. Later this variant have, for example, Efim Bogolyubov and Alexander Alekhine, especially in his race for the World Chess Championship 1927 against José Raúl Capablanca, applied.
