Queen (magazine)
Queen ( formerly The Queen ) is a 1862 -founded magazine, which was initially addressed to an aristocratic readership. Towards the end of the 1950s the profile of the magazine was changed and should now appeal to a younger, wider audience. During the time of "Swinging London " Queen was considered one of the most stylish imaging magazines of the time, the positioned mainly in the area of women's fashion. In 1968, the magazine was sold to the competition from Harper 's Bazaar and was first called since 1970 " Harper 's & Queen", later the "Queen" of the name fell out and the magazine is called only " Harper 's Bazaar ". The early 1960s was David Hamilton artistic director of the magazine.
