Queen Maud Mountains

The Queen Maud Mountains are a mountain range in Antarctica. It forms the Ross Sea to the south to the polar plateau towards demarcating part of the Transantarctic Mountains. The highest peak of the Queen Maud Mountains is the 4068 m high Mount Fridtjof Nansen. It was named after the Norwegian Queen Maud ( 1869-1938 ).
