Queensland Raceway

The Queensland Raceway is a motor racing track in the Australian state of Queensland. It is located at Ipswich south-west of Brisbane.

The U-shaped circular course is 3.120 km long, it consists of four right and two left turns and a 643 meter long back straight. There are also three shorter route variants. All buildings such as the pit facilities and grandstands are located on the outside of the track, the infield is undeveloped. Thus the audience is possible unobstructed view of the entire racing circuit. The track width is 12 meters.

On the Queensland Raceway various motor sport events are held, in which the limbs of the Australian touring car series, the V8 Supercars that are most important athletic.

On 15 October 2013, the racing driver Sean Edwards was killed as a passenger in a private test drive.
