Questacon

Questacon ( National Science and Technology Centre also called ) is a science and technology museum in the Australian capital Canberra, located on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin. More than 200 interactive exhibits can be visited.

The Questacon building was a gift of Japan on the occasion of the bicentenary of Australia and was opened on 23 November 1988. Managed the museum by the Ministry of Education and Science. The museum is one of more than 300,000 visitors annually.

In addition to the permanent staff, the museum is supported by more than 60 volunteers who present the smaller temporary exhibitions. The center includes three theaters in which the museum's theater group The Excited Particles ( the enthusiastic particles) occurs in family ideas. The troop also held discussions about science in general and current events.
