Quickly (Software)

Quickly is a framework for the creation of software programs for Linux distributions using Python, PyGTK, Glade and desktop couch. In addition, it allows easy release of the developed program with Bazaar and Launchpad.

Quickly was designed to speed up the launch of a new software project by using templates. These templates are not only used to create software programs, but also to their automated configuration and maintenance.

The project was started by Rick Spencer due to his frustration as Ubuntu Developer beginners.

Application

Quickly is started from a command line. All commands consist of "quickly command [ parameters] " together.

Some examples are:

  • For a help for the first start:

$ Quickly getstarted To create a program for Ubuntu:

$ Quickly create ubuntu -application name of the new program For help with a project created (Ensure you are in the previously created project folders are located ):
