Quidditch Through the Ages
Quidditch Through the Ages (original Quidditch Through the Ages ) is both a fictional book that is mentioned in the Harry Potter novels, on the other hand is a real book by British author JK Rowling.
Fictional Book
The fictional book by the author Kennilworthy Whisp is first mentioned in " Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ": There is to be found in the library of Hogwarts.
Real Book
The real, 64 -page book by JK Rowling from 2001 is based on the novel and was therefore published under the pseudonym Kennilworthy Whisp. The cover of the book ( hardcover ) looks as if it was already old and worn. As for all other German Harry Potter books got Klaus Fritz translation, Sabine Wilharm designed the cover. The British original edition was published by Bloomsbury Publishing, the German when Carlsen Verlag, wherein it is pointed in both cases to working with the fictional publisher WhizzHard Books, which is based in London in Diagon Alley 129b.
Along with " Quidditch Through the Ages ", the author has also released a real version of the fictional book " Fantastic Beasts and where to find them ." Author, publishers and editors ( in German also the translator ) waived their remuneration. The sale proceeds of both books go to the charity Comic Relief. The German editions of the two books are out of print, a new edition with a modified cover art has been available since March 2010.
Content
The book deals with the fictional sport of Quidditch is played by wizards and witches on broomsticks. It is described the development of air broom broom and reports on past games. One gets an insight about the origin of Quidditch and its development over the centuries. In addition, famous Quidditch Teams of Britain and Ireland are presented.
The preface of the book comes from Albus Dumbledore's spring.
