Quierzy

Quierzy (formerly Cariciacum, Carisiacum, Charisagum, Karisiacum ) is a commune with 450 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Aisne and Picardy region.

Geography

The community Quierzy located on the banks of the Oise between Noyon and Chauny, on the border of Oise.

Neighboring communities of Quierzy are Marest - Dampcourt in the north, Manicamp in the east, Bourguignon- sous- Coucy and Camelin in the south and Brétigny in the West.

History

In Quierzy was the Carolingian period the royal palace Quierzy, one of their main residences in the western Franks, of the date, however, there is nothing to see.
