Blackout period (also called quiet period or blackout period ) is a reasonable period of time prior to the publication of quarterly or annual results, in which only limited a publicly traded company communicates Investor Relations with the capital market.

This period is also a blackout period with legal requirements concerning the insider trading prohibition.
