Chinalphos is a flammable colorless solid that is practically insoluble in water. He easily hydrolyzed, except for slightly basic conditions.
Use
Chinalphos is used as an insecticide in a number of crops against biting and sucking pests. The methyl form ( Chinalphos -methyl, CAS :13593 -08 -3) is also used as a pesticide.
In the European Union quinalphos is not included in the list of permitted pesticide active ingredients. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no plant protection products containing this active ingredient are allowed.
